I've began to see things, unsure if what is and what isn't. I'm in my living room, and my mom is here. I open my hands, and in my hands I see a vase. I look to my mom and I ask of her, "Do you see, this in my hands?" She looked at me rather stunned and said in a low tone, "There is nothing in your hands." I looked down at my hands and dropped the vase as it shattered into pieces. I then bend low to pick up a shard as I bring it near my left arm. I look at her again and ask, "What is in my right hand?" She responds, as her face seems to show signs of fear. "There is nothing in your hand." I then take the glass shard and cut deeply into my forearm and blood begins to pour out to the ground. I look up then close my eyes as I speak to my mother. "Then I am not cut, and I am not bleeding." I open my eyes to see there is nothing wrong. No vase. No glass shards, nothing but my mother and her fear.
She moves closer and sits down into a rather comfortable chair. One I've always been fond of. "Mother, I've began to see things. My eyes are fooling me, but I'm not sure if my eyes, or perception has been effected. I do not know if you are real, or if you are just another illusion."I close my eyes and kneel to the ground. My sense of touch I do trust, as I crawl forward toward her. I place my hands over hers and hold on to them, as I turn my head up toward where I suspect her face would be. I speak clearly to confirm my thoughts, "I now know that you are here, but when I open my eyes I may see a demon or monster." I then slowly open my eyes, and quickly speak, "But fortunately you still appear as my mother."
I rise to my feet and go to grab a camera. I'm hoping that if I can see reality twice that I may be able to determine what is, and what is not. "Mother, I'll no-longer be able to drive, and school is no-longer an option. Seeing things is clearly a sign of death and I should visit a doctor to have my brain examined." We then went outside as I test the camera to see if it would help. I pointed it around the yard at various locations. Several things I knew weren't real because my memory was familiar with my yard, did not appear on the camera. Though that didn't mean things wouldn't it only meant that I had at least 2 different perspectives. I thought it best if I tape the camera to a hat and wore that so I may record my experience. I did just that.
I took my mothers hand and I suggested we go to the hospital. She nodded and I told her it would be best to have 3 people, in the invent that I become even more unstable. So Kris, my mothers love would accompany me. I asked for them to say, yes or no when I wanted to confirm if something was real. Though just before we began to leave I seen the house door open and Kris came out. I whispered, "Kris you're here right?" And in sync my mother and Kris responded, "Yes." I found it slightly odd that they responded at the same time, but was distracted by the imaginary Kris I saw running up to the car and pounding on the hood. As we left the house I mentioned this and asked if they had both said yes. They again responded in sync, "Yes."
The journey to the hospital seemed like a flash, for I can't remember much from the trip. We entered the hospital and went immediately to the emergency response room. I was familiar with the setting for it wasn't the first time I've been there. I met the doctor and explain my situation, I said to him, "I can see things that are, or aren't real. I'm unsure if my hearing has been effected, but I don't think my touch has been. I can't be sure that I'm perceiving anything right or wrong. So I'm unsure that there is anything I can really do." I was then taken to room where they scan your brain, quickly after it was over I asked my doctor, "So, will I be okay?" And just then, everyone in the hospital responded, "Yes."
